we speak through our music

last night, i was a bit "off the ground" with my friends, suddenly i felt like i want to hear tiesto. so i open youtube and watch Tiesto's concert performing 'Love Comes Again". Shiiiiiiiiitttttttttt, it was really, really, really, really COOL!! The crowd went crazy when he played that song. During the chorus part, the crowd sing along. Fuckin great!!! I can see from his (Tiesto) face that he was really happy and trully satisfied because the crowd love his music and recognize it very well. Other concert that i like is Iron Maiden's first ever concert in India last year (or two). The crowd was really excited, crazy, and they didnt get tired waiting for a whole day to see their heroes live, not on tv or magazine (why aren't you guys go to Indonesia? you guys are my heroes too!). Just like Tiesto's concert, the crowd song along too. The legendary, the classic, the pure epic, "Fear of the Dark" was the first song on the list. If someone tells you he loves Iron maiden but don't know this song, you can tell him to fuck himself up. Back to the topic, when Iron Maiden's vocalist, Bruce Dickinson looking at the crowd, i see what i saw when im watching Tiesto's concert, the same amazed, happy, and satisfied face. He was really shocked because he never knew that Iron Maiden is BIG in India. After watching those 2 videos, i have a conclusion in mind that musician's true and pure satisfaction is not when your albums get double or triple platinum, but when you are having a concert, no matter how many the crowd is, it is really amazing when people loves or (at least appreciate) your music. I have this one experience, me and my band was performing in a place called Paul's Place in Malaysia, even though the crowd didn't know our song (that was the 2nd time we perform), they can appreciate our music, and enjoy it. We played 6 songs, 5 songs are our own songs, and the last for the last one, we covered Sepultura's epic "Roots Bloddy Roots".

Well, we musicians speak through our music.
